Improving Work Processes with Relational Coordination

IN THIS WORKSHOP YOU WILL LEARN to use relational coordination as part of your interventions to improve collaboration and performance across the continuum from small co­located work groups to virtual teams to whole organizations and inter-organizational consortia.  If you want to increase your understanding of relational coordination, we invite you to join us. If your organization is beginning to use RC principles for culture change and performance improvement, you can share the learning from this workshop with others in your organization.  You will learn to:

  • Assess the local context and the performance outcomes of interest
  • Identify a work process that would benefit from better relational coordination
  • Use relational mapping to identify the work groups involved, including patients or clients
  • Introduce the RC survey to those work groups
  • Design and set up the survey
  • Interpret the survey results
  • Share back the results with the work groups, and
  • Design specific interventions with them based on the particular pattern of survey results

This workshop  includes independent self-study modules, an experiential 1.5 day course, and an individual one hour consultation on the design of a specific project.  This workshop will also help you to prepare for RC Certification

This training is appropriate for individuals with at least one year of experience in longitudinal process consulting or training in group facilitation (formal or on-the-job).  


$2,650 per person

RC Certification

Participation in this workshop is not required for RC Certification.  However, this workshop is designed to cover the same topics that are the focus of RC Certification and helps individuals design the RC interventions that are required for RC Certification.
